Thank you for your interest in Widener University’s Human Sexuality program.
This is a reminder of the hybrid format of this program and the in-class time required for the courses. All of the Human Sexuality courses are taught either in-person on weekends, online, or in a hybrid format, meeting face-to-face and also online. For example, many courses require you to be on campus for two full weekends, so if you are taking two or three of those courses in a semester, you would need to be on main campus 4-6 weekends a semester, and an occasional Friday (2-3 times over the entire program). In other cases, you may meet weekly online together, or have one weekend of class and the rest online.
The schedule is designed to be accessible, but attendance in all class sessions is mandatory. A student is not able to skip or miss a full-day of a weekend class, as that is missing 8 or more hours of class time, which is prohibited by attendance policies. The semester course schedule is typically posted at least 3 months in advance of the semester start so that you can make plans for travel and lodging, as needed. This includes dual programs that are fully online. While your other program may not require your attendance on campus, the CHSS programs require you to attend physically at the Widener main campus in Chester, PA for the Human Sexuality courses.
